Work with Us to Create Lasting Change

At Liberatus, we believe employment is one of the most powerful ways to reduce reoffending and strengthen communities. We work closely with partners so that those with convictions can access meaningful temporary work opportunities, supported by the services they need to succeed.

Why Partner with Us?

Integrated Pathways

Employment works best when it connects with wider services such as mentoring, training, housing, or other. We do not duplicate these services. Instead, we link candidates to partners when specific needs arise, ensuring that the right expertise is used where it matters most.

Coordinated Placements

Every candidate reaches us through trusted referral routes. We work alongside probation officers, Prison Employment Leads, jobcentres, and charities who know candidates best. By coordinating with these partners, we ensure that opportunities are suitable and supported from the start.

Shared Impact

Our structured placements build skills, demonstrate reliability, and open pathways to permanent employment. Together, we can measure and showcase positive outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.

Referral Process

Our candidates come to us through two trusted pathways, both designed to make sure every application is supported by those who know the individual best:

Direct Referral

Candidates can be referred by probation officers, Prison Employment Leads, jobcentres, mentoring charities, and other frontline organisations. These referrals confirm that the individual has been verified and supported by a recognised body.

Referenced Referral

Candidates may also apply directly through our website or via outreach in custody. In these cases, applicants nominate a probation officer, mentor, work coach, or other recognised referee. We then confirm details with that individual or organisation before progressing the application.

By using these two routes, Liberatus ensures that every candidate's circumstances are understood, and placements are supported from the outset.

Collaboration in Practice

Our role is to connect, not replace existing services. Most candidates only need a fair opportunity and clear communication with their employer. When additional help is required or if an issue arises, we signpost to those who know the criminal justice system and individual circumstances best. We see partners as collaborators in helping candidates succeed.

This collaboration can include:

Sharing information that helps placements succeed.
Coordinating with mentoring or probation where appropriate.
Providing feedback to partners about progress in work.
Linking to practical support when barriers such as travel or skills gaps need to be addressed.

By working together in this way, we ensure that every candidate has the best chance of long-term success, while employers remain confident that placements are supported at every stage.
